Chocolate Mud

Yumm! The kids have decided that playing in the mud is fun! I have no problem with this as I LOVED playing in the mud when I was a kid. But! I do have a problem with my dear son, Jordan, throwing "chocolate" in his brother's face.

Ouch my toe.

Ouch! My toe!

Those stupid walmart carts! I'm used to the Super-Walmart carts and how wide they are so today I'm walking with a 'regular' Walmart cart and kicked the nut and bolt on the right wheel. My yelled out, "Son of a Biscut", you know cause I cant cuss around the kids. So, I thought that was it, I just kicked it. Went on with my business of getting some shoes for Peyton, I forgot his at home and we were going to the park. I looked down and see my toe is SUPER bloody and isnt stopping. I saw an employee and asked for a bandaid and an cleansing wipe. She brings me back two bandaids and sais they are out of wipes, I think that the Safety person needs to restock the kit. So, I bandaid it up and off I go. I just got home and looked at it, I literally split it down the middle of the tip of my pinky toe. I've got it all cleaned up now and bandaided up. But man! Those carts are dangerous.

Planes and Trains

The Planes

My boys, Jordan especially, LOVE airplanes and trains. It just worked out that today was the modle airplane show and the minature train park was open. So, first we took the kids to the air show, before the show started cause it was gonna be hot out there. They had a few things going on and the kids could watch the planes fly. Jordan kept asking for us to buy him a plane and couldnt understand that they werent cheap and it wouldnt be happening. LOL He even asked one of the guys out there for one He just laughed and said to buy a raffle ticket for one they were raffleing off. LOL Jordan even got to try out a plane simulator. Think we are going to have to get Grandpa to hook him up with his.

Train Park!

Then it was off to the http://tunnel13.com/park.html . Last time we tried going it ended up being closed and Jordan was heartbroken. It is only open 2 days a month, 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. So, today we made it and Jordan was so STOKED. It was getting close to nap time so Peyton was, eh. We rode the mini train. The kids loved it! Jordan kept watching the track below. Then we went to check out the railroad models and the caboose. And as promised we had snowcones. I think that was the highlight of Peyton's trip. LOL

Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails

Jordan LOVES his snails. I think they are gross, but being the loving neighbor Bobbie is she totally supports this love of his. Today was one of those days where he found them and she helped. Jordan made a "habitat" for his beloved snails.

Last Day Of Summercamp

Jordan went to daycamp this summer at America's Best Kids. He had a slow go at it at first but then really started to enjoy it. Jordan really bonded with Miss Molly, it was nice to have the same person caring for him all summer this time. Last year things were always chaging. They went swimming, played in the gymnasium (sp?), danced, and did a lot of crafts. But as we all know, all good things must come to an end and thus did this summer's daycamp. I am so gonna miss those days of activity for that kid. Three weeks and counting until school starts.

Playing in the rain!

The other night we had a wondeful thunderstorm. Jordan was napping so we took Peyton out in the rainand he LOVED it! He kept looking at us like, WTF is going on here? Then started runing through and found a puddle of sorts to splash in. It was so much fun!

Howdy! Welcome to the Hayes Events

Guess I'm going to jump on the bandwagon and start a blog for my famiy.

So, what is my family up to these days, huh?

Well, Jordan is 4 and starts pre-K in the fall. He is none too excited as his idea of a good day is staying home and driving his Mom insane! LOL However, I think he will really enjoy himself again, as he did with Preschool. He also has a way with words. Quite often he will say the darndest things like, "So, you wanna play some ping pong, huh?" From his most favorite show in the whole world, The Backyardigan's.

Peyton is 22 months, I can't believe my baby boy is going two on October 11. It seems as though he was just born. He is a busy body and LOVES to be outside. He is so curious about the world around him. He must touch everything he sees. He loves his big brother and wants to do everything just like him. Peyton also is amazingly different than his brother. Jordan was, for the most part, a very calm child. Peyton, oh no! He gets his personalty from his Mamma. I take credit, or blame. He has learned temper tantrums, and I think he is quickly learning that if he does one he gets a quick trip to his bedroom.

As for me and Michael, we are doing great. We just celebrated out 6 year wedding anniversary. I dont think anyone thought we would make it this long. But we did and have a very beautiful home here in The Rogue Valley. I love it here.

Michael just changed jobs for the first time in 8 years, that was different. But the economy is so tough right now you have to go where you can to make a living. Who knows, we might end up moving all together.
