He wrecked the firetruck!

Tonight Jordan had a seriously bad day. He first fell off the bar stool in the kitchen and then he wrecked his brother's firetruck. During his course of events he completely split open his chin. Ouch!

Mom to the rescue. I had to take 2 butterfly bandages and squeeze it together. I thought we needed a trip to the ER, but dad thought i was just a "scrape". Uh huh. I still think otherwise.

Well, the Jordan decided to use his face to help himself climb up into his bed. Yup, you guessed it. Started to bleed again. Really bad.

The operating table.

This time Mom decided to really gause it up good. Let's hope it holds and he doesnt bleed anymore.

Playing Suzy Homemaker

Today I got the bug to make stuff with fruit. So, I made 32oz of applesauceand 5-8oz containers of raspberry/strawberry freezer jam.

Now that I'm done I dont know why I havent made freezer jam before. It is so easy! Two bags of frozen fruit, yes I kno I could have used fresh but I didnt know when I would get to it and didnt want it to go to waste. So, 2 bags of frozen fruit, one strawberry and one rasperry. 1.5 cups of sugar, package of Bell's freezer jam mix, and boom! Your done. Well, almost. I used the food processor to crush my fruit. JOrdan thought it was yummy and asked for a bit in a bowl with a spoon. Silly boy.

Jordan found the coolest thing yesterday.

I think it is a cacoon. He was digging in the rocks outside and came across this.

He had no idea what it was. Totally freaked and amazed he came in the house, he refused to touch it. LOL I went out and it was wierd. One end of moved a bit and the other not at all. It is wierd. I have never seen one up close before. So, we put in a jar with holes in the lid and are going to wait and see what type of butterfly it turns into.

Living out of the coolers!

Man! This so sucks! Our refridgerator died for the second time in a little over a month! Gaah! The first time the repair agreement expired, are you ready?!, 6 days before the fridge quit! I would have had Sears repair it again and just bought another agreement then but they were out almost a week and we just couldnt wait. Sooooo, we just went with a different contractor. Well, it died again this last Sat. Gaah! We have been living out of coolers since then and it looks like we will be living out of them until Friday when the new compressor gets here. Oh, I called Sears up and bought another agreement for 3 years this time. Thank goodness, too, cause the repair for the compressor would have been $701 and we paid $298. Le Sigh... Next.

First Day Of Pre-K

Jordan's first day of Pre-K was Monday. He was SO excited and had a wonderful day. I love that he loves school this year... so far.

Visit with Family.

Well, my house is SUPER empty now. :sigh: My family left yesterday, Thursday, morning. :crying: I cried like a little baby. Jordan kept asking, Mommy are you mad. I explained that Mommy was sad because her Mommy and Daddy had to go home and we live really far away from each other. So, that means Mommy doesnt get to see them or her sister very often. :sigh: He hugged me and and told me it woul be alright. He is so sweet sometimes.

So, we had a very busy week! We did the Hellgate Jetboat, Crater Lake National Park, the beach and Ocean World in Crecent City, OR and the Redwoods. I have pictures from most, but my camera battery died or I forgot it for a few things. But Shannon has pictures from everything and I'm sure she will share her take o things, too.

So, it was a great visit and I really wish we lived closer. Peyton and Jordan really LOVE their Grandma and Aunt Shan. Oh and Peyton really took to his Uncle Jay, too. I think it will be closer to Easter before me and the kids make our way that way and we see them again. :sigh:

A Rock Up The Nose

Rock Up The Nose

Yesterday Jordan and Jordan, yup two Jordan's mine and a daycare girl, were playing outside and filling their pockets up with "pretty" rocks from the play area. Well, that afternoon during what was supposed to be "quiet" time my Jordan started FREAKING out. I was all, what?! He informed me that he had a rock stuck up his nose. Totally jaw dropping moment here! Fortunately, he was able to blow his nose and it came out. I informed him that rocks were to stay on the ground and notup his nose. The whole time I kept thinking, I have to get this out because I dont want him to have bad breath like I did when I was a kid and stuck a piece of tissue up my nose.

Cart over the toes.

Why is it when your at the store with the kids and you try to keep the oldest in line and he is doing oh so good and then the inevidable will happen? Poor kid, yup, Jordan again, was walking where I told him to and I went to turn right into a lane for check out and that is when it happened. I ran over his toes with the cart. They are a little black and blue but no broken, whew, thank goodness!

Temper Tantrums and Jealousy

Peyton has got to be the KING of the temper tantrum. If he doesnt get his way he will throw the biggest and loudest temper tantrum as if making sure that the nieghbor's on the next street, or county, over can hear him. He will throw himself back and even if his cracks his head he wont stop. I tell you he must have come by this on his own. Couldnt be that he is so strong willed, like me or anything. And boy is he ever jealous. Whether it is his brother or my little Sophie I babysit he doesnt like anyone but him to sit with me. At times I'm honored but others it is annoying because this leads to the inevidable temper tantrum. They say it gets better, but I dont know....

The family are coming! The family are coming!

I'm so excited! Can you tell! LOL Mom and Dad are leaving for Shannon's today and then tomorrow everybody, meaning Mom, Dad, Shannon, Jay and the boys will pile into dad's truck and go to Winnemucca. Then Saturday they will be here! Yeah!!! We are going to be SOO busy while they are here.

Sunday: Wildlife Safari and then The Hellgate Jetboat
Monday: Jordan's first day of school and when he gets out we will go to Crater Lake National Park.
Tuesday: Oregon/California Coast and the Redwoods
Wed: Chill! and projects... prolly.
Thursday: Everyone will go home. Sigh. :(

Of course, I will post pics and updates as the week goes.

So, this is the day Peyton decides that he needs to ride, too. So, he can now pedal a bike and he isnt even 2!
